Blue-green nutrient rich water from the Topsail Inlet runs over the lush spartina grass, sandy mud-mixed oyster beds and into Topsail Sound.

The vast pines of Holly Shelter Game Land and purity of the untouched Lea-Hutaff Island provide a healthy environment for the oysters to grow.

04 SALINITY

Extremely high 35ppt. The warm summer sun raises the temperature of tidal pools increasing the salinity leaving the oyster to pump this salty seawater.
